We are pleased to offer CEREC restoration services! CEREC is a superior method used to create accurately-designed, color-matched, and extremely durable ceramic restorations right here in our office. From full crowns to simple fillings to veneers, CEREC delivers the results you need in just a single appointment.
After examining the problem tooth and determining the best course of treatment, we will prepare your teeth. Your prepared tooth will be coated with a harmless, tasteless powder. CEREC uses a cutting edge, digital 3D camera to create an optical impression. This digital image replaces the physical impression required in traditional procedures, which means no more long waits while a tray of goop solidifies in your mouth.
The latest CAD software allows us to customize the shape of the restoration to exactly fit your specific clinical needs. While you wait, precise design specifications are sent to our on-site milling machine to create your restoration. Just 15 minutes later, your color-matched, all-ceramic restoration is ready for placement. Your new restoration is then fitted, polished, and bonded for permanence and your tooth is brought back to its natural form, function, and beauty.
Crowns and Bridges
Modern crowns and bridges can close very wide gaps and restore your smiling face’s function, appearance, and proportion. If more than half of your tooth has been restored with a filling, a crown becomes necessary. The reason being is that without adequate support, the tooth may break away around the filling. As a general rule, teeth become weaker when fillings get larger. A crown covers the entire tooth and holds it together.
Crowns are used when a tooth becomes cracked, when large fillings wear out, or when cosmetic improvements must be made on teeth. Bridges replace missing teeth with artificial teeth. They look great and literally bridge the gap between teeth. They fill the unsightly spaces left by missing teeth or large gaps.
Veneers and Crowns
A straighter, whiter smile is possible without braces or aligners. By carefully applying thin layers of translucent veneers, each tooth can be shaped exactly as you want. Veneers can be matched in color with your other teeth, or can be used to restore your smile to a whiter color. Occasionally, teeth are badly broken down, or decay may be found around large, old fillings. We may determine that the best solution for restoration is a porcelain crown. We will prepare your tooth, make a digital impression, and send it to the CEREC milling unit, where your restoration is made in just a matter of minutes. It can then be permanently cemented in place and you will have a natural-looking, long lasting restoration.
Inlays and Onlays
In the not too distant past, people went to the dentist to get a cavity repaired and they were left with dark, ugly silver metal fillings. Porcelain inlays and onlays eliminate the unsightly metal fillings that most dentists used. Patients will regain their self-confidence with a brighter smile, knowing those dark fillings are a thing of the past.
